COPY EDITOR - THE OXFORD CLUB

I edited both editorial and marketing copy (including columns, promotional materials, premium fulfillment materials, and emails) related to investment, finance, and stocks. I developed a high level of proficiency with AP style and the ability to manage a variety of

tasks under tight deadlines. I had additional ghostwriting duties for a column about bonds.

FIFTH GRADE TEACHER - BALTIMORE CITY PUBLIC SCHOOLS

I provided instruction, grading, and feedback for 45 students requiring advanced data collection, monitoring, and assessment skills in order to meet state and federal standards. I received “effective” and “highly effective” ratings on formal observations and received “highly effective” rating on meeting professional expectations. I received the Segal Education Award through 

AmeriCorps for graduate-level coursework toward my teaching certificate.

May 2019 - Aug 2019

SUMMER HONORS FELLOW - COLLEGE OF WILLIAM & MARY

I received funding from the Roy R. Charles Center at William & Mary to spend 10 weeks working full-time on research for my honors project in the English department. I maintained a blog throughout the summer detailing my progress. At the end of the following academic year, I produced a 75-page research paper that received the highest available honors.

LEAD CALLER - OFFICE OF UNIVERSITY ADVANCEMENT

I contacted alumni for fundraising and trained new callers on fundraising strategies and

professional expectations.

I interned in the research and development department of a private equity firm. I researched market sectors to evaluate investment potential and created visual displays to present these findings at team meetings.
